Hiking - METHAMIS - Méthamis to Blauvac via Gacholle
A varied itinerary, between garrigue, forest, and gorges, with exceptional views of the villages of Méthamis and Blauvac.
"A hike that allows you to escape. Here, everything invites contemplation. These caves that sheltered Neanderthals, then this dry riverbed whose contours reveal the power of the waters in another era, and finally these landscapes, shaped by humans. Forests and cultivated lands replace the ruggedness of the garrigue, offering an exceptional palette of colours." Daniel VILLANOVA, Mountain Leader at Passion Nature
- HUNTING: During hunting season, wear brightly coloured clothing, make your presence clearly known, and respect the signage put in place by hunters.
- PASTORAL ZONE: If you encounter protection dogs, do not pet or threaten them. Stop, then wait patiently for their "inspection" to finish before calmly continuing your way, skirting the herd as widely as possible. Preferably, do not bring your dog, or if you do, keep it on a tight leash. For reference, consult the correct responses to adopt when encountering protection dogs.
- FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest... and of hikers! Do not smoke in the forest or light any fires, as it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during summer, before heading out for a walk, inquire about the conditions and regulations for access to forest areas.
