Hiking - MONTAUBAN-SUR-L'OUVEZE - Chamouse from the Col de Perty

This loop trail travels through a mosaic of landscapes: heathland, forest and alpine pasture, with a panoramic backdrop stretching from Mont Ventoux to the Ecrins.

What comes to mind is the pleasant diversity of the landscapes. This hike gradually reveals its wonders: moving from heathland to woods, then to alpine pasture, before finally returning along the ridge. Your attention and your gaze are constantly engaged. RESPECT THE PEACE AND QUIET of the area where you are walking, avoid shouting and do not use sound-producing devices (radios, etc.), out of respect for other users but also for the tranquility of the wildlife, especially during breeding and wintering seasons when animals are much more vulnerable.

FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke in the forest and do not light any fires, especially since it is forbidden whatever the season! And during the summer, before setting out, check the access conditions and regulations for forest areas.

A section of the route is highly exposed to the sun, so take the necessary gear (water, hat, sunscreen, etc.) on hot summer days. It's best to set off early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day.

CAUTION: PASTORAL AREA on the trail: if you encounter livestock guardian dogs, do not pet or threaten them. Stop, then wait patiently for them to finish their "check" before calmly resuming your way, giving the flock a wide berth. It is preferable not to bring your dog; if you do, keep it on a tight leash. Remember to close all gates securely behind you.

Between points 2 and 3, the path becomes indistinct as it crosses pastures and low vegetation. Follow the waymarkers on the ground and refer to the map. Between points 3 and 4, where there is no clear path, the waymarking is on wooden posts along the ridges.
