Hiking - MONTJOUX - Imbert and Marot Passes

Without great difficulty, this hike will take you to the summit of the Imbert and Marot Passes to enjoy the viewpoints.

“This hike offers magnificent panoramas of the various surrounding mountains, such as Miélandre, which can be seen from Marot Pass. This immersion in nature is very rejuvenating, and its varied vegetation reveals two very distinct atmospheres. On the way up, you cross a Scots pine forest, while on the way back, you find yourself in the middle of an oak forest. Birdsong accompanies us throughout the trail.” Léo MICHELET, intern at the Pnr des Baronnies provençales.

  • At point 4: crossing a departmental road, be careful!

  • RESPECT THE TRANQUILLITY of the place you are walking in; avoid shouting and do not use sound instruments or devices (radio, etc.), out of respect for other users and for the peace of the wildlife, especially during breeding and wintering periods when animals are much more vulnerable.

  • Avoid picking wild plants: some of them are protected.

  • FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke in the forest and do not light fires, especially since it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during the summer, before going for a walk, inquire about the conditions and regulations for access to forest areas.
