Hiking - MONTREAL-LES-SOURCES - Following the Traces of the Springs
An assured getaway in the hills above Montréal-les-Sources! A refreshing interlude amidst streams and cherry orchards.
"Seeking a bucolic walk in nature, I found it in abundance. This route on the heights allowed me to discover the authentic character of Montréal-les-Sources. The impressive landscape of the Eygues Valley in the background is remarkable. The cherry orchards and springs provide a refreshing feel, making the walk pleasant year-round. It's an excellent choice for immersing yourself in the agricultural landscape of the Baronnies Provençales." Hugo COLIN, intern at the Baronnies Provençales Regional Natural Park
PLEASE RESPECT THE TRANQUILITY of the area where you are walking; avoid shouting and do not use instruments or sound devices (radio, etc.), out of respect for other users but also for the peace of the wildlife, especially during breeding and hibernation periods when animals are much more vulnerable.FIRE HAZARD. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and of hikers! Do not smoke in the forest and do not light any fires, as it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during the summer, before heading out, check the conditions and regulations for access to forested areas.
A portion of the trail is highly exposed to the sun; take the necessary equipment (water, cap, sunscreen, etc.) for hot summer days. Opt for an early morning start to avoid the hottest parts of the day.
