Walking - MORMOIRON – The Gypsum

A fragrant and scenic walk, dotted with beautiful viewpoints, between cherry orchards, vineyards, and olive trees with gnarled trunks.

« I enjoyed this walk; it is fragrant when the path goes through a Scots pine forest and scenic from the viewpoints. I particularly loved the view over the vineyard and the Dentelles de Montmirail, as well as the breathtaking view of Mont Ventoux and Mormoiron at the end of the route ». Elsa Aptel, Ventoux Sud Intercommunal Tourist Office

  • Note: No sidewalks after the gendarmerie.

  • HUNTING: During hunting season, wear brightly coloured clothing, make yourself clearly visible, and respect signage put in place by hunters.

  • PASTORAL ZONE: If you encounter livestock guarding dogs, do not pet or threaten them. Stop and wait patiently for them to finish their 'inspection' before calmly continuing your path, bypassing the herd as much as possible. Preferably, do not bring your own dog, or if you do, keep it on a tight leash. For reference, consult best practices for encountering livestock guarding dogs.

  • FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke in the forest or light any fires, as it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during summer, before going for a walk, check the conditions and regulations for access to forest areas.
