Hiking - NÉOULES - Le pilon Saint-Clément

Embark on a beautiful day hike from the charming village of Néoules up to the ridge where stunning viewpoints await you.

Starting from the village, an alternation of tracks and trails through the scrubland will gradually lead you up to Pilon Saint-Clément. You will then traverse the ridge and enjoy magnificent 360° panoramas, with the sea and its islands on one side, and the Maures and Sainte-Baume massifs on the other, extending to the Alpine mountains, which you may be lucky enough to glimpse on a clear day.

This trail passes through private hunting grounds from the 2nd Sunday of September to March 1st each year. Caution during this period.

Caution between points 2 and 3: this is a mountain trail with a ridge section.

A herd and protective dogs may be present along this hike: know what to do! Bypass the herd as much as possible. If a dog approaches, stop, avoid eye contact, do not wave your poles, and speak to it calmly while waiting for it to identify you.

In summer, the area is at high risk of fire. Therefore, access is regulated throughout the summer period. Check the access conditions for forested areas, which are updated daily on the Var prefecture's website.
