Hiking - Rainville

Starting from the Town Hall square, this hike will lead you to the Rainville mill, a former blast furnace that contributed to the industrial development of Longny-au-Perche. You will then pass through the forest and return to the town center by walking alongside the castle. A walk with varied and typically Percheron atmospheres.
You will head towards a plateau overlooking Longny, offering beautiful views of this "Small Town of Character." As you pass the Rainville mill, you will be able to see the blast furnace foreman's house and the waterfall that powered the hydraulic wheel of the bellows in the 16th century. The Longny forest, which you will then cross, once supplied the forges linked to the iron industry. Then, the road, offering beautiful rural landscapes, will lead you back to the heart of the town, passing an old plaster mill and the castle's outbuildings.
