Hiking - Roc de la Gardette
Following a short section of the famous Chemin Urbain V, this long hike alternates between vast heathland landscapes and refreshing forest passages.
You will discover the menhir of Boy, decorated with two half-circles whose origin remains uncertain, as well as the imposing Château du Boy, a former farmhouse that once belonged to the powerful medieval Tournel family.
Along the route, directional posts guide you as well as yellow painted waymarks. The place names and/or directions to follow are indicated in bold italics and in quotation marks in the description below:
From « Lanuéjols », head towards « Vitrolles » via « Église », « La Coste ».
At « Vitrolles », turn right towards « Le Roc de la Gardette ».
At « Le Roc de la Gardette », turn right towards « Le Viala ».
At « Le Viala », return to « Lanuéjols » via « Finiols », « Condamine » and « Lou Martoulet ».
