Hiking - SAHUNE - Marcel et Devès
Explore the small village of Sahune from the heights of Devès, offering numerous viewpoints over the Eygues valley.
A hike starting from Sahune, where the trail first winds along a cliffside among rocks, olive groves, and garrigue, and where you might be lucky enough to spot vultures. The effort of the climb will be rewarded as the trail continues into the shade of the woods, offering many viewpoints over the Montagne d'Angèle and the Plateau d'Eyroles. - After point 4: caution is required when crossing the main road!
- RESPECT THE TRANQUILLITY of the area you are walking in, avoid shouting and do not use any instruments or sound devices (radios, etc.), out of respect for other users and for the peace of the local wildlife, especially during breeding and wintering seasons when animals are much more vulnerable.
- Avoid picking wild plants: some of them are protected species.
- Part of the route is very exposed to the sun, so be sure to bring the necessary gear (water, hat, sunscreen, etc.) on hot summer days. It is best to start early in the morning to avoid the hottest part of the day.
- FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest; this is forbidden year-round! During the summer, before setting out, check the access conditions and regulations for forest areas.
