“From the 10th century to the present day, Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt has lived through the major events and changes of our country, surviving plague epidemics, wars, political unrest, and bandit attacks, forcing it to periodically expand its ramparts. It also constantly sought to secure its water resources: springs, dams, cisterns, fountains, and washhouses. As you walk, you can identify traces of these events, appreciate the historical, architectural, and religious heritage, and then enjoy an unobstructed view of the Luberon and the Apt plain.” Gilles Landrieu, town councillor.

• Before waypoint 2: watch out for loose stones underfoot on the descent to the dam.


• At the start and after waypoint 7: watch out for traffic.


• The first part of the route is on a rocky path and requires good footwear!
