Hiking - SAINT-ZACHARIE - The Défens forest via the water trail

The village of Saint-Zacharie, Nayes Spring, the Défens forest, and beautiful views of Sainte-Baume are all on the agenda!

The cool of the undergrowth accompanies you on this beautiful walk along the water, from Nayes Spring to Pas de Peyruis. From there, you will climb the hill to discover the Chambeyron massif, then the Défens forest and its magnificent view of the Sainte-Baume mountain.

In summer, the area is at high risk of fire. Therefore, access is regulated from June 21 to September 20. Check the access conditions for forested areas, which are updated daily on the Var prefecture website.
