Hiking - SAINT-ZACHARIE - The Défens forest via the Pas de Peyruis

A lovely loop starting from the village of Saint-Zacharie that leads to the summit of Chambeyron. Stunning views of the Sainte-Baume.

After passing through Saint-Zacharie, a village with sixteen fountains, let the coolness of the Peyruis stream guide you. From its source at Nayes, it will lead you to the Pont d’Angèle as you discover the Chambeyron massif and then the Défens forest. Landscape lovers can enjoy unique panoramic views of the great Sainte-Baume ridge.

In summer, the area is at high risk of fire. As a result, access is regulated from 21 June to 20 September. Check the access conditions for the forest areas, which are updated daily on the Var prefecture's website.
