Hiking - SAINTE-EUPHÉMIE-SUR-L'OUVÈZE - The Little Gorges of the Ouvèze

A bucolic walk between sunny and shady slopes, discovering the area's architectural and agricultural heritage, as well as the upper Ouvèze valley.

"This enjoyable circuit invites contemplation along a route that blends the varied landscapes of two villages marked by the history of Protestantism. Upon reaching the Plateau des Moures, a stunning view of the Upper Ouvèze Valley awaits, with the Gorges de Saint-Colomban below the rocky cliffs. The more secluded second half of the walk concludes in the woods, between the banks of the Ouvèze and fields of lavender." Manon SAPHORE, intern at the Baronnies Provençales Regional Natural Park.

  • Before waypoint 1 and at waypoint 4: cross the main road with caution!

  • PLEASE RESPECT THE TRANQUILITY of the area. Avoid shouting and do not use any sound devices (radios, etc.), out of respect for other visitors and for the peace of the local wildlife, especially during breeding and wintering seasons when animals are much more vulnerable.

  • Avoid picking wild plants: some of them are protected species.

  • Part of the route is highly exposed to the sun, so bring the necessary equipment (water, hat, sunscreen, etc.) for hot summer days. It is best to start early in the morning to avoid the hottest part of the day.
