Hiking - Sentier de la Madone - La Terrasse sur Dorlay Trail No. 3
From Place des Artisans Boulangers, cross the D7 road and take the local Malpassé road towards the Musée des Tresses et Lacets. After 500 m, on your left, you will see a basin that once supplied an old factory.
Continue for 200m, turn right at the crossroads and pass the Maison des Tresses et Lacets. 300m later, pass the Chemin du Tacot then turn right, passing some gîtes. Take the first path on the right that goes uphill. After 1 km you will reach the D7; cross it, take the path opposite and climb again for 1 km until you reach the path on your right that leads to la Madone. From this monument, you will have a magnificent view of the village, the dam, the Col du Planil, and the hamlet of Saint-Just en Doizieux. The Madone was erected in honour of the soldiers lost in the First World War.
Then, retrace your steps, turn right and continue to the Croix du Pendu, then descend on the right (Route des Genêts d'or) towards the village, about 2 km away. As you enter the village, you will see a restored bucket wheel on your right.
