Hiking - Sentier du Bois Bouchat - La Terrasse-sur-Dorlay n° 2

This route shares a path with the Tour du Parc trail (white and brown waymarking) as far as Trémaret.

From Place des Artisans Boulangers, cross the Aristide Briand bridge then take the road up to the church (Rue André Chapuis). Continue along Chemin du Souvenir to the cemetery; walk alongside it and take the wooded path, cross the small stream (the Gaize), and climb for 700m. At the crossroads, climb again to the left towards the ridges (you will see sheep pens there). At the summit, turn left towards Chavanol; walk for 1.5 km along this ridgeline where you will have a lovely view of the Gier valley. At the first crossroads in a small grove, take the left-hand path that enters the forest and follow it for about 2 km to the village. Before you arrive, you will have a view of the village, the peaks of the Pilat, the dam, and the hamlet of Saint-Just en Doizieux.
