Beautiful ridge walk offering stunning panoramic views of the Cévennes valleys. A 2-day itinerary to discover the paths of André Chamson, the Cévenol writer and academician, which he explored during his holidays in Le Vigan.

Day 1 – From Le Vigan to Cap de Côte via Col des Mourèzes (GR®60a), 15 km, 950 m of ascent.
From Cap de Côte, it is possible to make a round trip to the André Chamson monument (GR®60) via the Draille, duration 1h 30min.
Day 2 – From Cap de Côte back to Le Vigan via Col de Peyrefiche, Mandagout, and Col des Mourèzes, 13 km, 980 m of ascent.
Steep descent between Cap de Côte and Col de Peyrefiche, walking poles recommended. At Col de Peyrefiche, flocks with guard dogs may be present.
Adapt your equipment to the weather conditions of the day. Remember that the weather can change quickly in the mountains. Bring sufficient water, sturdy shoes, a hat, and warm clothing.
