Hiking - In the footsteps of Monsignor BUGUET

Born in Bellavilliers, Father Paul Buguet was appointed parish priest of La Chapelle-Montligeon where he founded the Expiatory Work of Notre-Dame de Montligeon and had a basilica erected in just fifteen years.

From Bellavilliers church, the trail heads into the majestic Bellême forest and the La Herse site. It then leaves the forest via lovely old trails that reveal the built and natural heritage of Le Perche. The route ends on "la route au curé" (the priest's road), from where the spires of the Basilica, backed by the Réno-Valdieu forest, can be seen in the distance.
