Hiking - Pointe de la Vallaisonnay Tour in 3, 4 or 5 days: a trek into the heart of the Vanoise wilderness

A three, four, or five-day hiking circuit, situated between the two highest peaks of the Vanoise massif: Mont Pourri (3779 m) and Grande Casse (3855 m).
From alpine gardens to lunar landscapes, the Pointe de la Vallaisonnay tour takes you through 3 very distinct valleys, within the municipalities of Peisey-Nancroix and Champagny-en-Vanoise.  Hikers traverse two high passes: Col du Palet (2652 m) and Col de Plan Séry (2610 m). From these heights, the view opens up to the remarkable Pointe de la Vallaisonnay and its array of snow-capped spires. In the rocky outcrops, the discerning eye may spot chamois or ibex, iconic Alpine ungulates. Along the route, the lovely Lac de la Plagne lends itself to a meditative pause.
This trek can be completed in 3 days (for the fittest), 4 days (for average hikers), or 5 days (for families with children).
Simply combine stages or adapt your route by staying at the following huts: Entre le Lac, Plaisance, Laisonnay, Glière, Col du Palet, Rosuel.

Option to alternate between bivouacking near the huts (with prior booking) or staying overnight in a hut with half-board.
A mountain route on marked trails with two passes exceeding 2600 m in altitude. No bail-out route is possible. Crossing both passes is compulsory. Good footwear and equipment are essential to face potential inclement weather. Pack binoculars for wildlife observation.
