Hiking - Tour des Cerces
The Tour des Cerces is one of the most beautiful sections of the GR57 Tour de la Haute Clarée. With 6 lakes and 3 high-altitude passes in the heart of the Cerces massif, this exceptional loop will meet the demands of seasoned hikers who love wide-open spaces.
Covering several high-altitude passes, this magnificent hike has a total elevation gain of 1100 meters. This loop can be done in either direction, but we generally recommend starting directly with the ascent to Lac et Col des Béraudes: this steep pass through a scree field is more manageable on the way up and makes for a gentler remainder of the loop.
In June, some high-altitude passes may still be difficult to cross and are therefore not recommended: Be sure to check snow conditions before setting out.
