Hiking - Val du Jarret - La Valla en Gier n° 2

Start: La Valla en Gier, Marie Badard multipurpose hall. Go down rue du père François, then take an immediate left onto rue du Ney. Go down towards the M2 then take the paved path on the left, "la Combette", cross the "Jarret" bridge and go up the other side until you reach an intersection. Head towards "la Boirie", cross the hamlet and about 100 metres further on, take the path on the left, then after about 30 m, take another left onto a grassy path that climbs steeply. Climb towards "la Grange du Puy", passing through the hamlet of "Les Font" (cross it for 30 metres before taking an uphill path on the right between the houses) then "Les Plats". At this point, turn left and go down a grassy path between two enclosed meadows. At "la Grange du Puy", continue on the dirt track to reach the locality known as "les Mines". Descend towards the village along the paved path to "la cabane des chasseurs", then, on the right, take the path that climbs up to the hamlet of "Luzernod". At the first fork, turn left and go down the narrow lane, crossing the RD2 once. When you reach "La Croix des Missions", continue downhill to the Champagnat house.
